Classes Of Almost

Armiger

Specializing in the use of blast powders and firearms. Armigers alone hold the secrets to the use and construction of firearms. All follow the code of upholding these secrets. To break the code is to be damned and hunted by the Armiger clans of Ridoom. Armigers never part with their firearms and should an Armiger fall- an apprentice earns their rank by retrieving the fallen Armigers lost firearm and returning it to the clan elders. Each Armiger specializes in the use and repair of flintlock pistol & musket. The techniques of which are handed down to each Armiger through their clan Elders.

Each Armigers firearm carries engravings on the barrel and ivory hilt. Ancient runic scripts that are believed to bind the spirits of their victims to the weapons themselves.

It is rumored that the eldest of the clan leaders know the secret of making enchanted ammunitions.

Stitcher

Skilled Medics chosen and inducted into the secretive Order of the Second Sun. Having undergone initiation within the temple city of Light-haven. As vessels of divine Light they serve the Order, never revealing their faces having surrendered themselves to a higher calling. They are unique in that the can administer non-magical means of medical assistance and stabilize wounds through their rigorous medical training. All serve the Arch Bishop unfailingly and without question and take solace in knowing that any questionable acts they may take are only in service of the greater good and that all perceived sins are forgiven and rescinded by Arch Bishop Ignatius. Such is his compassion and service to order.

Archanic

Genetically attuned to awakening and activating Ruathain (ancient Eldritch relics). They are able to directly harness the energies of Eldritch Wizardry. But access to such incredible power comes at a cost. Archanics are highly feared and rarely openly display their devices lest they be hunted by the Heralds of Lighthaven of the many guilds that have risen to power and wealth from obtaining such devices.

Users of arcane powers and dark magics, they can be devastating opponents. Their magic however comes at an extreme cost. The more the powers of the Ruathain are drawn upon the more the sentient device embeds itself deeper into the users spinal cord and nervous system via small threadlike silver tendrils, eventually overtaking the host. This process over time transforms the user's body into something alien. A process known as Remorphosis. It could take a few years or decades for the change to be complete, depending on how often they draw power from their Ruathian.

Pick

Salvagers and tomb raiders with an uncanny knack for sniffing out Ruathain. Sharp senses, guile and stealth are their weapons of choice. Rarely noble, these pragmatic professionals seek to rapidly amass great wealth and perhaps rise to the heights of an established guild. Their unique skill set makes them highly sought after by dungeoneers and explorers. The Pick guilds are very wealthy and well connected having deep ties embedded in all manner of society. Due to their time hunting and handling ancient alien relics known as Ruathain they have developed a sixth sense for detecting them when in the general vicinity. They tend to favor mechanical arm bracers fitted with spring loaded blades or grappling hooks.

Mercenary

Ferocious sell-swords who save their fighting for when they're getting paid. For the right commission they will take on the down and dirty work. These warriors are battle hardened and deadly. Highly skilled in efficient use of all armor and weapons. Competition between Mercenary bands is very fierce. Each identifiable by the colors they wear. Mercenary Corps are employed by both the just and the ruthless alike and it is not uncommon for a Merc to find himself fighting for a righteous cause one day only to be opposite side, indiscriminately killing the very same people they previously served.

All Mercs honor their contracts less they find themselves out of work.
