Encounters in ALMOST

 

Ship Graveyard

Six large ships with the remains of their crew are found here. The ships are now solid black glass. With masts and sails intact now locked in time. It's crew and cargo infused into the ships decks, the ships themselves fused within the very waters that once carried them.

Ship 1. The crew is in the midst of a meal. Tankards are raises in cheers. There is no evidence of violence.

Ship 2. Three large treasure chests are found. Solid glass they are unmovable and cannot be opened. Something may be within.

Ship 3. The crew are all asleep, locked in time. While upon the decks frozen crew seem alarmed at something overboard.

Ship 4. Empty except for a lone robed figure reading from a scroll. The wood around the figure is bent and warped, unnatural. Before the figure is a strange box 12x12 inches being grasped by a hand emerging from the floor. Bound to the wall is another figure, naked with tentacles erupting from its chest.

Ships 5-6. The crew are completely fused into the walls and floors of the ships. Hands and faces are partially visible, screams of pain forever captured on some. One ship is half sunk into the ground some of it's crew overboard fused into the obsidian ground. Their heads and arms visible as if trying to swim away from the ship. A large dark fin is visible frozen in it's pursuit of food.

OVERLAND- Randon Encounters

1. Wreckage from a wood and metal ship which appears to have crashed from the sky. Completely destroyed and looted. Only unidentifiable debris remains.

2. A large stone torch rises from an intricate piece of stonework. It burns with a blue flame regardless of weather conditions.

3. A large protruding column with the face of a frog carved into it. There are damaged holes where the eyes once were.

4. They sky becomes overcast with thousands of crows migrating west, their screams are all that can be heard.

5. The remains of a humanoid creature with the head of a wolf.

6.  A dog is following you. Starved yet friendly to any party member who decides to feed it. It often returns to it's owner. The hound is a trained thief.
