Pale ghastly creatures that smell like dying leaves. Lacking eyes they hunt and operate by sound alone. They are rumored to inhabit the groves that surround the Palisades Of The Eternal Youth. Legend holds that their origins lie in the bite of the fabled Voormithadreth, a vampiric Black Unicorn who can bestow the strain of eternal life.If a PC's is reduced to 0 HP by a Blood Goblin they will rise the next evening in a blood frenzy having been infected & turned. They will then join the pack that spawned them and over the next week their physical appearance will undergo significant change.
Ending Vampirism: If the PC that has recently been turned can be captured alive and drained to 1 HP (all blood in it's system) it is then possible to intravenously pump the body full of a liquid mixture of Garlic Bulb, Olive Leaf and Tar Lotus; a rare Lotus flower found only in the Pit Of Tar'Mahell.
After introducing the mixture directly to the blood stream the PC must then pass a successful save vs. poison to end the Vampirism. The PC will however suffer a permanent -2 to his constitution moving forward.
Elder Blood Goblins are said to have the ability to take on human form and are usually solitary creatures.
Drain: If a victim is reduced to 0 HP by a Blood Goblin's drain ability the victim will rise the next evening in a blood frenzy having been turned. They will then join the pack that spawned them and over the next week their physical appearance will undergo significant change.
Regenerate: After a successful Drain attack Blood Goblins regenerate at a rate of 3 HP per round.
Blood Goblins can be killed by submersion in running water and suffer 1d6 damage per minute of exposure to sunlight.
Campaign Notes: So far we have lost three PC's to these ghastly creatures with one successfully being returned to his previous human state. The two that were turned hunted the party for months.
